Panchthar, Bahubiwaha aropit lai 1 barsa kaid faisala. District court of Panchthar has sentenced Shankar Yangbo, 29, of Nagi VDC-1 to one year in prison convicting him of polygamy. A single bench of district court judge Madhav Prasad Adhikari had issued the verdict on November 12. The convict has been sent to prison on December 2. He was at large after the incident and was arrested by the police on December 1 from Phidim Bazar, said DSP Deepak Pokhrel. His first wife Sarasota Angbo, 29, had lodged a complaint against him and his second wife Phul Maya Tamang, 20, of Phidim municipality-4 on December 3, 2013. The other accused is still at large.
