Dolpa/December 4 Mana Kumari Rokaya, 35, of Dunai bazaar in Dunai VDC-1 and permanent resident of Sarmi VDC filed a case at the District Court on December 3 saying that her husband assaulted her. Her husband Mal Bahadur Rokaya, who is also the UCPN-M district in-charge, beat her severely on December 2 after which she was compelled to file a case of divorce, the victim claimed. She said that the accused beat her regularly on various charges. Shankar Bista, subba at the district court said that the accused was asked to present himself before court in seven days.
