Dang, Pati dwara patni ko hatya. DANG: A man has been arrested on the charge of murdering own wife at a time when the 16-day activism against gender-based violence is being marked across the country. Kailash Chaudhary (53) of Pachaiya VDC-4 of Gobaradiha was arrested for his alleged involvement in the murder case of his 52-year-old wife Chanchala, the District Police Office said. It is said that a verbal dispute ensued when the couple had gone to sleep in the field to prevent robbery of straw and harvested paddy. The murder took place at around 2 am today and the husband is accused of murdering the wife with a spade when the latter was asleep, according to police.
