District court of Nuwakot has issued an order on December 7 to remand Raja Ram Yadav, 31, of Pathargadha VDC-5, Saptari and employee at district education office, in custody on charge of raping a 14-year-old girl. Prior to this, he was released on bail. A single bench of district judge Kiran Prasad Siwakoti had issued the verdict regarding the case. The victim had lodged a complaint at district police office against Yadav accusing him of raping her in Adarsha Hotel at Bidur municipality-3 on October 19. She underwent health checkup on the same day. The accused was arrested by the police on the same day for investigation. The accused was remanded in custody by district judge after reconsidering the verdict issued by Srestedar Rakesh Mani Upadhyaya to release him on a bail amount of Rs 250,000 on November 13.
