The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Thursday filed an embezzlement case against seven school officials of Mahottari district for registering a fake school. CIAA said Programme Officers Dhruba Prasad Koirala, Barun Chaudhary and Gyanendra Yadav, the then Accountant Laxman Prasad Yadav, Resource Person Raj Kumar Shah, Principal Niku Kumari Shah and Chairperson of the School Management Committee Sangita Devi Shrestha registered a school named Ram Primary School in Sonma-7 of Mahottari. But, they did not operate any class at the school and embezzled the budget allocated for teaching learning activities for last six year, CIAA said in a statement today. The anti-corruption constitutional body has demanded maximum punishments against them as per Sections 3(1d) and 3(1e) of the Anti-Corruption Act, 2002.
