Udaypur, Patni kutne patilai jariwana. District Court has fined Katak Bahadur Rai, 41, of Jante VDC-7 on December 14 in a case of domestic violence against his wife, Gyan Laxmi Rai, 30. Gyan Laxmi had filed a case against her husband on September 11 saying he had forced her out of the home. Earlier, District Court Bhojraj Sharma had issued an interim protection order instructing to ensure proper environment for her at home. However, she had not been able to return home due to the bad behavior of the husband. Gyan Maya has been living with her parents in Triyuga Municipality-2 after being forced out by her husband on July 17. She had also filed for divorce along with her share of property on November 6 saying she could not live with the husband who was thrashing her daily in inebriated condition.
