Family members of a 13-year-old girl have held a press conference on December 15 accusing the police of not registering its complaint of rape. They accused Dipendra Pal, 38, of Nimbukheda in Bhimdatta Municipality-15 of sexually exploiting the girl for over a year now. According to them, when they went to the District Police Office on December 14 to register the complaint after learning about the rape, the police refused to take in the complaint. When asked, SP Bishwa Niranjan Pradhan said that they were searching for move evidence in the case and that the case would be filed on December 15.
