Samjhana Danuwar, 20, of Mohanpur in Triyuga Municipalilty-11 has been arrested by the police on December 15 on charge of injuring her sister-in-law Muna Sarki Danuwar, 23, and nephew Arun Danuwar, 1 by pouring hot ashes on them. She was arrested after Muna filed a complaint against Samjhana at Jaljale Area Police Office on December 13, District Police Office’s Inspector Dilli Bahadur Chauhan said. He added that Muna and her son were assaulted by Samjhana following a domestic dispute on December 12. Muna suffered from burn injuries on back of her neck while the boy had burns in chest and toes. Both are undergoing treatment at District Hospital, Bokse. A mother two, aged 6 and 1, Muna said that the in-laws were not happy with their inter-caste marriage that took place in 2007 and were still taunting her.
