NHRC Committed for HR Education in Every Home

Kapilbastu, Gharghar ma manabadhikar sischya puryauna ayog pratibadha. NHRC member Mohana Ansari has stated that her office is committed to take human rights education in every home of the country. She was speaking at a workshop on “Implementation and Review of Human Trafficking and Transportation Act 2064” organized by NHRC Special Rapporteur against Human Trafficking in Taulihawa on December 17. Ansari added in her speech that it was a strategy of NHRC to make all the citizens aware of human rights issues by conducting human rights education sessions. Citing the initiative taken by the Supreme Court on recovering jail sentences and fine, she urged the judiciary to proceed with the campaign of providing compensation to the victims of rape, trafficking and for those killed by the state. Member of the CA and Social Justice and Human Rights Committee, Sarawat Khatun said that lack of awareness and poverty were triggering the human trafficking.
