5 quake hits eastern Nepal

Kathmandu, Nepal ko purbi chetra ma bhukamba ko dhakka. Tremors were felt across eastern Nepal as earthquake measuring 5 on the Richter Scale hit the region on Thursday night. People felt earth shaking at around 9.15pm in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Nuwakot, Itahari, Biratnagar, Jhapa, Dhankuta, Dharan and Janakpur whose epicentre was located near Namche Bazaar, around 120 km east of the Capital. People panicked as they felt the jolts and immediately came out of their houses to avert any eventuality. However, there were no reports of damage to life and property.
