Khotang, Prahari dwara nirghat kutpit. December 20,Prithvi Gurung, 25, of Hauchur VDC-1 has been beaten up by ASI Bhim Subba and four other policemen of Nunthala Police Post on December 19. According to the victim, ASI Subba and policemen took him inside the post and thrashed him after handcuffing him for four hours on charge of not showing licence and bill book. Owner of the vehicle with registration no. Ko1Ja 1501, Rai has sustained injuries to his face and head. He is undergoing treatment at the District Hospital in Diktel. The victim has filed a complaint at the Sub-regional Office of National Human Rights Commission in Diktel demanding action against the culprits. DSP Binod Raj Kharel of the DPO said that details would be gathered into the incident.
