Kanchanpur, Manab bechbhikhan ma pareki pidit mahila ko udhar. A woman who was sold in India has been rescued by Maiti Nepal Kanchanpur with support from Maiti India on December 21. The woman who was trafficked to India under the pretext of arranging a meeting with her husband was rescued from Noida, India. The victim is taking shelter at the emergency home of Maiti Nepal. Her relatives had taken her to India with a promise to arrange a meeting with her husband who was working as a laborer in Himanchal on July 2014. Coordinator of Maiti Nepal Kanchanpur Maheshwori Bhatta said that family of the victim had appealed Maiti Nepal to search for her after she did not arrive at Himanchal. Bhatta said that Maiti Nepal would move court for justice to the victim.
