The District Court of Bara has ordered to sentence 30-year-old Arvinda Lal das alias Gullu for 35 years after finding him guilty of murdering eight years old Kanchan Thakur of Kalaiya Municipality-8 after raping her. A single bench of District Court judge Surya Bahadur Thapa had given a verdict regarding the case on September 4. The court has also ordered to provide compensation of Rs 100,000 to the victim’s family from the accused. In a same incident, the court has also ordered to sentence Madan Kumar Misra,39 of Kalaiya Municipality-8 for two years and another 16 years old boy for six months on charge of their involvement in the incident. The victim was murdered after rape in 2014, November 8 and the accused were remanded in custody since 2015, January 24 in Birgunj Prison. कलैया नपा-८ की आठ वर्षीया कञ्चन ठाकुरलाई २२ महिना अघि बलात्कार गरी हत्या गरेको ठहरमा पिप्राविर्ता गाविस-३ घर भई कलैया नपा-८ मा बस्दै आएका ३० वर्षीय गुल्लु भन्ने अरबिन्दलाल दासलाई जिल्ला अदालत बाराले ३५ वर्षकैदको फैसला सुनाएको छ । न्यायाधीश सुर्यबहादुर थापाको इजलासले भदौ १९ गते दासलाई ३५ वर्षकैद सजाय र पीडकबाट पीडित परिवारलाई १ लाख रुपियाँ क्षतिपूर्ति भराउने फैसला गरेको हो । बलात्कार गरेको अभियोगमा १५ वर्ष र हत्या गरेको अभियोगमा २० वर्षगरी ३५ वर्षको सजाय सुनाइएको अदालतका श्रेस्तेदार मोहन सुवेदीले बताए । सोही घटनामा संलग्न अभियोगमा कलैया नपा-८ का ३९ वर्षीय मदनकुमार मिश्रलाई दुई वर्ष र १६ वर्षीय एक बालकलाई ६ महिना कैद सजायको फैसला सुनाइएको श्रेस्तेदार सुवेदीले जानकारी दिए । ०७१ कात्तिक २२ गते भएको उक्त घटनाका आरोपितहरू जिल्ला अदालतको आदेशले ०७१ माघ १० गतेदेखि पूर्पक्षको लागि वीरगन्ज कारागारमा थिए ।
