Rautahat, 5 Naabaalikaa haru lai balatkar gareko arop ma giraftar. - Rautahat district police have arrested a man on charge of raping five minor girls in one month period. Bahadur Rai, 53, of Chandrapur in Rautahat , was made public on Wednesday at a press conference. Police investigation revealed that Rai, a rickshaw driver, had raped the girls from neighbouhood by luring them with money. Rai's victims, aged between five to eight, told police that he had threatened to kill them in order to keep them quiet. According to Gita Bharati, a local women rights activist, the medical test on the victims confrmed that they had been raped by Rai. After the incident came to light, Rai's own daughter had helped the victims' families file police complaint. The victims' parents have demanded maximum jail sentence for Rai.
