Banda hits life in Eastern Region

Mohan Baidhya-led CPN-Maoist has enforced general strike in the eastern region of Nepal on Friday.
The CPN-Maoist called for shutdown in the eastern region protesting the constitution to be promulgated on January 22.
Normal life has been affected due to shutdown. No vehicles except motorbike are seen plying on the East-West Highway since this morning. The local market is also seen closed. The Maoist cadres have said that they would also not allow the operation of schools in the region.
