A woman who was staying in a flood victims' camp in the district died of severe cold on Saturday. Sumeli Tharu (57) of Sangabasti of Gulariya municipality-2 succumbed to cold yesterday night, informed a local Tipendra Bahadur Basnet. Normal life has been hit hard due to bone-brushing cold in the district for the past few weeks. Market places have been closed and poor visibility has affected the movement of vehicles in the district. Although the Gulariya municipality has managed firewood and made fires at different intersections, many people in the village are bound at home.
