Ram Swarup Sadaya, from Jamdah, Golbazaar-3, had hit head of his son Bijay with a baton under the influence of alcohol last night. The victim’s mother Sirjidevi said Ram Swarup attacked the son during a dispute with her after the dinner. Sirjidevi had rushed the critically injured son toward Golbazaar-based Dhamini Hospital, but the hospital had declared him dead. The man is on the run after the incident. Golbazaar Area Police Post said police have launched a manhunt for his search. The body has been kept at the Dhamini Hospital. Police said it will be sent to some other institution for postmortem.
