A clash occurred between the banda enforcers and local traders in the district headquarters Bhadrapur in course of the general strike Monday. The UCPN (Maoist)-led 30-party alliance has called the district banda (general strike) today. Ranjit Kumar Singh was injured in the clash. The local traders had come out in protest as the banda callers forced them to close their shops, it is learned. On the occasion, traders shouted the slogans urging the responsible side to create the workable conditions. Similarly, security has been strengthened in the district realizing the possible clashes in course of the banda.
