58-Year-old Tili Damai of Basudevpur VDC-1 filed a complaint against her brother and sister at Women and Children Service Center on January 11 saying that she was thrown out of the house after being accused of being a witch. She said that her sister Pappi Banshi and brother's daughter Laxmi Pariyar also beat her up as her relatives were upset that she got seven kaththas of land for taking care of her mother. She added that following the death of her brother Dambar Bahadur Pariyar, her neighbors Dolini Magar, Nem Kumari, and sister Pappy had instigated niece Laxmi against her. She said that Laxmi had thrown her out of the home on January 1. The WCSC said that the case was forwarded to District Police Office while DSP Sushil Singh Rathore said that they received the complaint and that they would look into the case.
