The Joint Khas-Chhetri Unification Coordination Committee organized a massive peace rally in the capital city on Monday morning. The peace rally, begun from Bhadrakali, passed through Shahid Gate, New Road, Ratna Park, Jamal, and Ghantaghar; and concluded at Kamaladi. A large number of people from the Chhetri, Thakuri, Brahmin, and Dalit communities participated in the rally. The participants said they should be listed as the indigenous community in the new constitution. "The reservation based on the ethnic community must be scrapped; all poor communities must be provided reservation," they stressed. The Committee coordinator Man Bahadur Thapa inaugurated the rally and said the rally was organized to exert pressure on the political parties to deliver the constitution on the stipulated date.
