The sawmill owner and his employee have assaulted two journalists when they had gone with a District Forest Office monitoring team at Pipaltar of Bidur Municipality-7 on January 22. Sagarmatha Television reporter Ramhari Neupane and Nuwakot Pukar’s Hari Bogati were thrashed by Prakash Rai of Siddhi Ganesh Kastha Uddhyog and his staffs Ram Chitrakar. The journalists filed a complaint against their assaulter at District Police Office on January 22 leading to the arrest of Rai and Chitrakar under public offence charge, DSP Arun Poudel said. Neupane said they managed to escape as the accused tried to attack them with split wood after kicking and swearing at them.
