School Locked Out by Students

The students of Dewalkot Secondary School in Gotri VDC have locked out their school since November 24.

They took the step after the school management failed to appoint Math and Science teachers for a long time. The lockout affected over 500 students of the school.

The school, located at two days of walk from the district headquarters Martadi, does not have the Math and Science teachers at secondary level for the past eight months, a local Prakash Bishta informed.

The school at secondary level does not have government posts and has been getting receiving supports from locals to run secondary level school.

Bishta said the school could not manage the teachers on time due to financial constraints.
