A 50-year-old man who was stabbed by his neighbor in Khutawa Parsauni VDC of Bara district last night has lost his life. The victim was identified as Dinanath Saha Teli. Critically injured in the attack, Dinanath succumbed to injuries while being rushed to the Narayani Sub-Zonal Hospital. The perpetrator was identified as Binod Saha Teli. Binod allegedly went to Dinanath's house yesterday evening to pay an old score and stabbed the latter on chest, head, and back, according to police. Dinanath's son said that the two families had a dispute over a plot of land. As Dinanath's family members retaliated, Binod was also injured. Police have taken him into custody and admitted to the Birgunj-based Sub-Zonal Hospital for treatment. Police said Binod surrendered at a police station in Gandak.
