Netra Bikram Chand-led CPN Maoist on Tuesday announced that the party captured a land belonging to Golchha Group in Kohalpur, Banke. A group of party cadres led by CPN Maoist Banke Secretary Man Bahadur Rokaya had hoisted the party flag on the land and declared that the party’s land seizure campaign had begun. CPN Maoist Banke said it had captured the land as the respective owners had been selling it after plotting it, instead of setting up factories on it. Out of 10 bighas of land, 65 percent has been already been sold for housing, according to DSP Janak Shahi.
