Suresh Yadav, 9, the first-grader at Marigold English Boarding School in Bode Barsain VDC has been seriously injured in the beating by his school Principal Anjay Pal. The incident came to light on March 1 when the boy’s mother Jibachhi Devi met the journalists at Area Police Office Bode Barsain. She had gone there to follow up on the status of her complaint against Principal Pal. She had filed the complaint against him on February 22 from Neuro Hospital in Biratnagar when Suresh is still undergoing treatment. Pal had kicked the boy from behind on February 18 saying that he was teasing his friends. He sustained serious face and head injuries. Hailing from Kachan VDC, Suresh was admitted in the school as a borders student 13 months ago. Inspector Meghraj Thapa of the APO said that Principal Pal has accepted his mistake and has offered to pay for his treatment. The boy’s father is working abroad.
