2015-03-04

Madhes, Saptari, Rupani

Saying that they could not fill up the examination forms after temporary teachers padlocked the Account Section, a group of students vandalized the Bindeshwori Multiple Campus in Saptari on Wednesday. The students of B.Ed. resorted to vandalism after the administration did not open the bolt of the Section. Later, the students broke the door, entered the office of the Campus Chief and Account Section, and vandalized the furniture, the administration informed. The teachers locked the Account Section of the campus on Tuesday after the campus did not pay them a salary for the past few months. It has been learned that today is the last date to submit the examination forms. "We resorted to vandalism after the campus administration turned its blind eye to our plight," Manbir Rajak, a student leader said. He said that the campus administration and disgruntled teachers jointly tried to spoil the future of the students.

Meanwhile, Campus Chief Chiranjibi Dev informed that the campus administration had urged the teachers to wait for some days as the campus was reeling under shortage of cash. But the teachers locked the Account Section despite the frequent requests of the campus, he added.
