Police have foiled a kidnapping attempt and arrested four persons involved in the bid on Wednesday evening. According to the District Police Office, Mahottari, the suspects have been identified as Brijesh Kumar Jha, (22), Roshan Kumar Thakur (22), Nabin Kumar Mandal, (23), and Amresh Pandey (23), of Nainhi VDC-4, Mahottari. A police team led by Sub-Inspector Prithvi Khatri nabbed four among six persons and rescued Ram Udgar Yadav (23) of Parikauli Fulhatta VDC of the district, said SP Saurav Rana. Police arrested them from no-men's land while they were forcefully taking away Yadav to India via main customs checkpoint Birtamod. Police rescued Yadav with several bruises on his body. Two other kidnappers, Deepak Pandey (22) and Shambu Thakur (18) are at large. Police said that they are investigating into the incident.
