Students affiliated with CPN-UML has imposed a one-hour transportation strike in Kalimati demanding action against those responsible for the death of one of their colleagues. On March 19 Min Bahadur Shahi along with two others who were riding on a single bike were hit by an unidentified vehicle near Tribhuwan University gate. Min Bahadur died on March 21 while he was undergoing treatment at Bir Hospital while the other two Balbhadra Kathayat and Mina Khadka were injured in the incident and are undergoing treatment. The students have called upon the police to find out the vehicle and identify the person responsibly and punish him. They have also demanded proper compensation for the victim who was killed in the accident.
