The UCPN-Maoist affiliated students have attacked the vehicle in which Minister for Finance Dr. Ram Sharan Mahat was traveling by hurling stones. The attack took place at around 11 am on Wednesday. Police have arrested ANNSU-R Central Committee Member Kiran Sapkota 'Kshitiz', and Laxmi Prasad Subedi, Netra Chapagain, Dinesh Poudel, and Bishal Gurung student leaders at Prithvi Naryan Campus Pokhara on the charges of the attack. According to SP Hari Bahadur Pal, Minister Mahat escaped unhurt. He has been shifted to another vehicle to make sure of his safety. 30-party alliance as per their predetermined protest programs have been greeting ruling party leaders with black flags.
