Bomb Explosion at Bank Employee's House

An unidentified group has detonated a socket bomb at the house of Chabbilal Pathak, 50, of Khairi in Gulariya Municipality-4 on November 27 night. Pathak is a Nayab Subba at the Agricultural Development Bank branch office Gulariya.

The explosion has caused damage to the railing of the verandah of the house and a drum stored with wheat. Splinters of the bomb has also damaged eye of a buffalo.

Expressing ignorance on the group involved in the incident, Pathak said that he had not received any extortion threats or intimidations as of yet.

Inspector Basudev Khatiwada of the area police office Bardiya said that search for the group involved in the explosion was ongoing.

Meanwhile, claiming himself as the Bardiya in-charge of the Free Tarai Madesh Mukti Tiger, Ranbir Singh owned up the explosion. Talking to media persons, he said that the explosion was a warning as Pathak had gone against the party by not supporting the group.
