Police have arrested 7 women on the charges of publicly humiliating a woman by smearing her face black and cropping her hair accusing her of having an immoral sexual relationship and financial misconduct. According to inspector Laxman Bahadur Shahi of ward police office Lamahi, the women were arrested based on a complaint filed which stated that a woman of Chaudhary caste from Satbariya-7 was publicly humiliated by a group of over 100 women. Police are carrying out further investigation into the incident. If found guilty the women would be charged under the public offense act.
