Family and friends of those killed in a road accident in Rolpa have obstructed vehicle movement in the district from early this morning, putting forth various demands. Passengers have been hit hard due to the disruption of traffic. The family members and relatives have put forth various demands including action against the driver and the assistant driver, rightful compensation to the families and arrangement for the studies of children of the deceased free of cost, free treatment to the injured, among others, saying the accident took place due to the sheer negligence of the driver and the assistant driver. The discussion was underway among political parties, the victim's side and transport entrepreneurs at the District Police Office from this morning after the dialogue held on Thursday went in vain. Dal Bahadur Dangi (42) of Iribang-7 and Bishnu Badi (26) of Iribang-8 were killed in a jeep accident on Thursday afternoon when the four-wheeler (Lu 1 Ja 1392) heading towards Ghartigaun from the district headquarters fell some 50 meters down the road. Sundar Kumar Oli, the relative of Dal Bahadur, said that they would not allow the obstructed traffic to resume and would not receive the body of Dal Bahadur until the demands are fulfilled. A total of six people, who were injured critically in the accident including the assistant driver, Santosh Budha, have been sent to the District Hospital for treatment.
