8 held for khukuri attack

Police on Thursday arrested eight persons on the charges of attacking a 19-year-old youth with a khukuri in Nayabazaar, KMC-17.
A gang of 10 had attacked Subas Chhantyal of Banasthali, KMC-16 in Nayabazaar, KMC-17 yesterday, and ran away, police said.
Of them, eight were arrested from Chaumati, Swayambhu, KMC-15 by police deployed from the Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu, and Metropolitan Police Circle, Lainchaur, according to police.
Police also confiscated a motorbike, a scooter, three khukuris, and an ax from them.
Further investigation is underway.
