Woman arrested on suspicion of trafficking in Mahottari

Police in India have arrested a woman from Mahottari district on suspicion of trafficking a minor girl to India. The arrested has been identified as Pinky Devi Mahara of Banauta VDC-1, Mahottari.
According to police, the arrested woman was in the company of a 10-year-old minor girl from Janakpur Sub-municipality. Police suspect that the woman was trying to traffic her to India. The case is still under investigation. When interrogated the arrested woman gave different accounts of the story.
