A Body of fisherman found after 9 days in Palpa

A Body of a fisherman, who was killed by his companions nine days ago, was found at the bank of Kaligandaki River in Ramdi of Palpa district.31-year-old   Bhim Bahadur of Baughagumha VDC-1, left for Ranighat for fishing on June 7 along with his three friends. Bhim Bahadur, accompanied by 35-year-old Puran Majhi, 50-year-old Khum Bahadur Rana, and 28-year-old Karan Majhi went fishing in the Kali Gandaki River near Ranighat for three days. As per the police report, Puran killed Bhim with stick and stone after they fought over the share of fishes. He also threatened to kill Khum Bahadur and Karan if they informed anybody about the murder. "Locals from the village searched for Bhim in the river for three days. After they failed to find him, they reported the incident to the police," said Deputy Superintendent of Police, Suman Kumar Timsina, the chief of District Police Office (DPO), Palpa. Following the complaint, the police took Bhim's three friends into custody for investigation. When questioned by the police, the three had initially told the police that Bhim swept away in the river, according to DSP Timsina. The police investigation revealed that Puran had killed Bhim by hitting him with stone while the other two stood watching. According to DSP Timsina, police will file cases against all three soon.
