A woman from Kapilvastu was arrested by the police on the charges of selling her own daughter and sister to a brothel in India. The woman identified as Khuili Tamang from Nuwakot was arrested by police from Ratnanagar in Chitwan and brought here. Four years ago she had sold her 15-year-old sister, Puja to a red-light area in Mirpur of Ilahabad. The incident had come to light after the sold girl, Puja, was rescued by different organizations like CWC India, Shanti-Punasthapana Griha among others. Area Police Office Krishnanagar arrested Khuili Tamang after Puja revealed that she was sold by her own sister Khuili. After being arrested Khuili confessed to the police that she had sold the minor girl for INR 30,000. In a shocking revelation, she also confessed that she had sold her own daughter only four months after selling her sister. The where about of her daughter is still unknown. Police are further investigating the incident.
