School Closed Indefinitely

Salyan/November 30

Blaming for absence of teachers and not attending classes regularly, students of Bal Sakha Secondary School at Madamkanda of Gajeri5 have padlocked the school indefinitely on November 29.

Following the padlocking, studies of some 500 students have been affected. Guardians said that the School Management Committee has not taken any initiative to reopen the school yet.

Irregularity in an exam conducted to select accountant in the school on November 22 is another reason for the padlocking, said Ishwari Budhathoki, a guardian, adding that ANNISU-R has padlocked the school with the consent of all students.

"We will try to reopen the school from local initiation. However, district level attempts will be taken if the local attempt fails to reopen the school," said school inspector, Bharat Baral.
