Operators of the newly introduced City Safari has clashed with tempo drivers in Dharan. According to reports, City Safari operators launched an attack on the tempo drivers after they protested demanding the cancellation of City Safari. Safari operators beat tempo driver Kishan Rai following which clash ensued between the two sides. More than 100 tempo drivers came out in protest of their fellow's manhandling by the safari operators. The protesters tried to vandalize the office of the City Safari operators. They were stopped by the troop of police deployed from Area Police Office, Dharan. Traffic was disrupted in Dharan due to the tempo driver's protest. The protesters surrounded the office of Dharan Sub-metropolitan city for permitting the operation of City Safari in Dharan.
