Executive Officer Hari Prashad Guragai of Shivasatakchhi Municipality has been manhandled in his own office on Friday afternoon. He was manhandled while he was working in his office. Municipal Officer Guragai was hit on the head with a motorcycle helmet by a local, Buddhiman Khoyang of ward no 8. Guragai was saved himself from major injury by dodging the attack. Buddhiman Khoyang had come to the municipal office accompanying Manoj Uprety, proprietor of Shivaram Construction Pvt Ltd. They had come to the office seeking recommendation letter of damage sustained by an embankment in ward 9 of the municipality due to Tuesday's flood. The said bank was being constructed by Shivaram Construction Pvt Ltd. According to officer Guragai, Khoyang suddenly charged his helmet at him when he said that a recommendation letter would only be issued after inspection of the damage. The attacker, Khoyang, has surrendered to Area Police Office, Jhiljhile. SP Rabindra Raj Regmi of DPO, Jhapa, assured that police would take severe action against the attacker.
