The Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police nabbed a man who was allegedly involved in trafficking many women to Gulf countries and Syria. SP Shyam Lal Gyawali informed that a CIB team had launched an all-out effort to nab Shovakant Bhattarai aka SK, 38, of Urampokhara, Parbat after the law enforcement agency received complaints about his nexus with human trafficking network in various countries. He was held from his rented house in Chabahil yesterday.
Recently, he sent three women to Syria via Delhi-Dubai with a promise of a lucrative job and left them to fend for themselves in a foreign land. According to CIB, Bhattarai, in cahoots with foreign agents, had so far lured at least 30 women into going to Kuwait, 15 to Dubai, and 3 to Syria.
