Tripurakot Police Station Bagar arrested 48-year-old Dhanmal Sarki of Tripurakot VDC-1 on July 11 on the charges of physically assaulting his 42-year-old wife Pannamati Sarki. Pannamati filed an appeal to the police station against her husband saying he thrashed her because of some unfounded suspicion. According to her, her husband Dhanmal has been abusing her in a drunken state for the last week, and that his beating on July 10 night left her with a broken hand. Pannamati is being treated at a local pharmacy at Tripurakot Bagar.
