A clash erupted between the police and cadres of Rastriya Prajatantra Party- Nepal (RPP-N) during the public feedback collection programme of Kathmandu constituency-1 being held at Baneshwor Banquet in the Capital on Tuesday. The situation escalated after RPP-N supporters were not allowed inside the programme hall.
However, a large number of people have arrived at the programme venue to give their opinions and suggestions on the preliminary draft of the new constitution here.
The public feedback is being collected under the coordination of Deputy Prime Minister and Local Development Minister Prakash Man Singh.
Meanwhile, RPP-N cadres have burnt the draft constitution outside the banquet premises. They are chanting slogans demanding Hindu state. However, the police have not arrested anyone as of yet.
