Province 1, Dhankuta, Dhankuta, Ward 6

Cadres of Federal Limbuwan State Council (FLSC) have disrupted the programme to collect public feedback on the preliminary draft of the new constitution in Dhankuta on Tuesday. The council supporters barged inside the programme venue (community hall) and started hurling chairs at the lawmakers. Three cadres of the council were injured when the police baton-charged the unruly FLSC cadres to take the situation under control, SP Bibhutraj Pandey of the district police official said. The cadres are said to have sustained serious injuries and have been receiving medical attention at the district hospital. About 40 protestors under the leadership of FLSC vice-chairman Gyan Bahadur Gurung entered the programme hall wearing helmets. The participants started fleeing towards safety after the disgruntled council cadres started hurling chairs. The feedback programme was disrupted for 15 minutes after the lathi-charge. The programme has resumed amid tight security.
