District joint in-charge of Netra Bikram Chand led CPN M Bachhelal Sardar has been arrested from Prasabani chok on July 24 on the charge of killing Masuklal Sardar of Prasabani VDC-3. SP Shishir Kumar Karmacharya said that Bachhelal was arrested while he was enforcing bandh called by his party as a case of murder was filed against him at the Area Police Office Lahan. Masuklal was killed on May 31, 2014. Area Police Office Kanchanpur had taken the body for post-mortem at Rajbiraj Zonal Hospital on June 1, 2014, after bruises were seen all over his body through his death was claimed to be caused by snakebite. Father of Masuklal had filed a case against 12 persons at APO Lahan on June 4 saying that he was beaten to death.
