Students have locked up the Motilal Multipurpose Campus in Badera. The ANRASU Motilal Multipurpose Campus Committee on Tuesday locked down the administration and accounting department of the campus saying that eight students were deprived of examinations due to the negligence of the campus administration. Eight students studying in the first year of BBS were deprived of filling up the registration form for the exam. The campus administration did not allow him to fill the form as he had received a circular from Tribhuvan University that he could join the BBS first year examination only after completing 10 months of passing the higher secondary level. The students have been agitating after the campus did not fill up the registration form saying that the students will not be able to join the examination due to the circular.
Among the students deprived of filling the form are Pooja Lamichhane, Ambika Bhatt, Reena Chaudhary, Bhima Bhusal, Anjana Thapa Chhetri, Poonam Kafle, Durga Devi Ghatane, and Seema Tiwari respectively. He has accused the campus administration of being irresponsible, saying that he will be admitted at the beginning of the academic session but will not be able to participate in the examination at the last minute. The students locked the door in the presence of Tulsiram Bhandari, chairman of the UML-affiliated ANNISU Campus Committee, and Om Prakash Giri, a member of the district conference organizing committee. The students have also demanded the resignation of Campus Chief Shyam Prasad Neupane saying that other campuses will admit the students who were not admitted at the beginning and will not be allowed to join the examination at the last minute. Meanwhile, Campus Chief Neupane said that the students could not participate in the examination due to the new circular of Tribhuvan University.
