Police arrests one for attempting to traffic six children to India

Police have arrested 28-year-old Naim Ansari on the charge of attempting to traffic six children to a factory in India to make them work as child labours. He was arrested by the police based on a tip-off from the chairman of Mahottari district cricket association, who upon being suspicious of Ansari called DSP Lokendra Shrestha. Ansari was trafficking six children who were over 9 years to India from Nepal-India border in Bithamod. He claimed that he had the permission of the children's parents to take them to India for labour. Child right officer KR Vijay said that it was illegal to force children below 14 years to work.
