Update --------- Undivided Far West Struggle Committee (UFWSC) has called for an indefinite general strike in Far West region starting from today, 07 August. Long and short route vehicles are halted in East-West highway (Mahendranagar Municipality, Dhangadhi-Chisapani, Karnali), (Attariya, Kailali-hill districts), the market closed in Dhangadhi, Attariya, Tikapur. Partial effect of general strike reported in Kanchanpur, Dandeldhura and Doti districts. Likewise, very less effect reported in Achham, Bajhang, Bajura, Baitadi and Darchula districts. ----------------------------------------------- Normal life in Sudur-Paschim has been badly affected due to the bandh called by the supporters of undivided Sudur-Paschim. Short and Long-distance transportation in Kailali and Kanchanpur district has been especially affected due to the bandh called by supporters of undivided Sudur-Paschim. According to District Police Office Kanchanpur, long route vehicles remain closed in Kanchanpur although vehicles were plying in Mahendranagar-Gaddachauki road section.
