Normal life in the district has been hit hard for the second consecutive day on Thursday due to shut-down enforced putting forth different demands. All the schools, marketplace and factories are closed and transportation has come to a halt. Only cycles, rickshaws, bullock carts and motorcycles are plying on roads. Police in large numbers has been mobilized in major roads. Area Police Office, Kohalpur said the impact of the shutdown is significant in the area as it has more population of people from the Tharu community.
