NC cadres enforced the shut down of Prithvi Highway

Nepali Congress (NC) local leader Ramaji Badal was murdered on Thursday night here in the district. Badal, who had participated in a municipality level meeting of the party on late Thursday night, was found dead here at Gagangauda of LekhNath Municipality-13 this morning. He had left the meeting at around 11 pm last night. According to the preliminary police report, leader Badal might have been thrashed to death by a group of people on his way to his house after the meeting. The meeting was called as part of preparations for the upcoming NC convention. Police have nabbed a person in connection with the incident. NC cadres close to him have accused the dissident faction of the party of murdering leader Badal. Meanwhile, NC cadres closed to Badal have enforced the shut down the Prithvi Highway in protest of the incident.
