Five protestors of Tharu Welfare Assembly causing strike demanding Tharuhat autonomous state has been arrested by police. Five men were arrested during the strike called by Tharu Welfare Assembly Executive Committee, Rautahat for causing vehicle obstruction in Chandranigahpur of East-West highway. According to DSP Netramani Giri of Area Police Office Chandranigahpur, President of Tharu Welfare Assembly, Ram Ashraya Chaudhary, Treasurer Bhumadhya Chaudhary, Vice president of Tharu Awareness Committee, Jokhan Phanaut, Roop Narayan Chaudhary and Bhagirath Chaudhary were among the arrested. They are in the custody of Area Police Office, Chandranigahpur.
